RIP X 4
What the hell happened last week? 4 high profile deaths in one week is, as far as I can remember, unprecedented. First was everyone’s favorite sidekick, Ed McMahon. He was Johnny Carson’s right hand man on The Tonight Show and hosted the 80’s version of American Idol, Star Search.
Then, a few days later, Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer. She’s most remembered for Charlie’s Angels and that famous poster.
On the same day that Farrah Fawcett was the death that we’re going to be hearing about for a long time, Michael Jackson. Jackson apparently suffered a heart attack and died of cardiac arrest. Despite his bizarre personal life, Jackson really was one of the greatest performers and if you don’t like Thriller, something is wrong with you.
Finally, On Sunday was the unexpected news that our beloved TV pitchman Billy Mays had died in his sleep. Famous for selling things like Oxiclean, Impact Gel, What Odor and more, we’re going to miss his brand of high energy selling and his Discovery channel show “Pitchmen”.
