Watchmen Overload
So the big Director’s Cut of Watchmen comes out next week and a sneak peek at one of the scenes that was cut is making the rounds on the internet. The scene is straight from the comic as the original Nite Owl, Hollis Mason, is attacked and killed by members of the local street gang, the Knot Tops:
In other Watchmen news, it seems that on top of the Director’s Cut there’s going to be an Ultimate Collector’s Edition some time this winter. It will be five discs and be the Director’s cut but with “Tales of the Black Freighter”, the comic within the comic, cut into it. It will also include the complete digital comic version of the original graphic novel and the fake documentary “Under the Hood”, which was the B side on the Tale of the Black Freighter DVD release. There will also be new commentary from Zack Synder and Dave Gibbons, who drew the comic.
In final Watchmen news the Blu Ray version is going to have a sick special feature where Zack Snyder walks you through pretty much the whole movie, pointing things out, showing behind the scenes footage and doing comic to shot comparisions. You can watch a preview of this over at /Film:
