There Can Be Only One!

Hollywood is continuing their trend of remaking everything with the recent news that a re-imagining of Highlander is in the works.  We love the original here at Everything Action with immortal Connor McLeod battling his way through history and squaring off against one of the best villains ever, The Kurgan, in the Gathering.  Unfortunately for the franchise, pretty much everything besides the original is crap. I’ve heard the television series had it’s moments but Highlander 2 and 3 could considered forms of torture in some courts.  Anyway, back to the remake.   Summit Entertainment, responsible for the god forsaken Twilight movies, is behind the remake with Justin Lin set to direct.  Lin is known for such classics as The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, Annapolis and Fast & Furious.  The situation seems hopeless but the script is being written by Iron Man screenwriters Art Marcum and Matt Holloway and original Highlander producer Peter Davis is producing the remake.
