The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Trailer

The latest bit of mind fuckery from Terry Gilliam, the man who brought us the incomprehensible Time Bandits to the somewhat comprehensible 12 Monkeys, is The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.  Starring Heath Ledger in his last role the story, from what I’ve read, is that the operator of a traveling circus/carnival, Doctor Parnassus, makes a deal with the devil to gain immortality but the devil demands the Doctor’s child when he/she turns 16.  The devil returns and kidnaps the Doctor’s daughter and he gets help from a mysterious new arrival named Tony and they head out across different dimensions to try and save the girl.  Since Ledger died before the movie was finished, his role was completed by Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law as alternate dimension/reality versions of Tony.  Just trying to explain all this is making my head hurt so just check out the trailer and see if you can figure out anything that is going on in it.
