Captain America Cast

After a couple week of speculation about who would play Captain America in the upcoming movie and in The Avengers, it was announced today that Chris Evans will be wielding the famous star shield.  Evans is no stranger to comic book movies having played Johnny “Human Torch” Storm in the Fantastic Four movies and he’s going to be in the upcoming adaptation of the comic series The Losers next month.  He’s also been in Sunshine and Push.  I don’t think it’s a bad choice but the most important thing is that he has to be believable as the leader of this superhero team, which means going toe to toe with Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and possibly Ed Norton’s Hulk.  The First Avenger: Captain America is supposed to come out next summer alongside Thor.
