Hometown Legend

Leave it to Everything is Terrible to find the bizarre Christian knock off of Friday Night Lights (or maybe Varsity Blues) called Hometown Legend.  In a small town in Georgia, the local football team is trying to recover from a horrible accident that happened to one of their players and reclaim their former glory.  The team has two things on their side, God and Terry O’Quinn in batshit insane mode, channeling equal parts Bobby Knight and Gene Hackman in The Replacements.  Spouting all kinds of nonsensical advice and sayings, like my favorite, “If my momma had a three piece set she’d be my daddy!”, the team heads for the state championship.  Watch the hilarity below.
