J. Edgar Trailer

The trailer for the latest from Clint Eatwood, the biopic J. Edgar, has just hit the net.  Leonardo DiCaprio stars as one of America’s most controversial and infamous lawmen, J. Edgar Hoover and follows his rise to head of the FBI and the lengths he went to to capture criminals and keep the country safe, which included wide spread use of fingerprints and keeping files on some of the most powerful men in the country.  Armie Hammer co-stars as Clyde Tolson, Hoover’s second in command and some say secret lover.  The rest of cast is ridiculous including Josh Lucas, Stephen Root, Naomi Watts, Judi Dench, Lea Thompson, Jeffery Donovan (Playing Robert Kennedy with hopefully an awesomely bad Burn Notice style accent) and Dermont Mulroney.  It looks like it will be an great period crime drama but I’m wondering how far Eastwood is going to go into some of the more insane aspects of Hoover’s life, like his suspected cross dressing, etc.  Check out the trailer below and the movie is out this November.
