Musical Montage: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
There are many reasons why Scott Pilgrim vs The World is an awesome movie from the plethora of video game references, the great sense of humor, crazy fight sequences and, for Musical Montage, a fantastic soundtrack. Music is an incredibly important part of the movie since you have Scott’s band, Sex Bob-omb and their efforts to win the Toronto battle of the bands and get a sweet record deal, evil sellouts Clash at Demonhead, Crash and the Boys, the Katayangi twins, I could go on. It also helps that people like Beck and Metric helped write the music for the various fake bands and the actual soundtrack also features great songs from the likes of The Rolling Stones, T.Rex, Plumtree, Broken Social Scene and The Black Lips. Check out just a small sampling of the soundtrack below but definitely check out the entire album if you’re a fan of the movie (and if you haven’t seen the movie, stop what you’re doing and go watch it now).
