Musical Montage: Trisha Yearwood “How Do I Live”
It’s February, the month of Valentine’s Day, and this month we’re going to be featuring the best of action ballads and to kick things off, a movie that you would never guess has a love song as it’s theme, Con Air. Bookending all the explosions, mullets, John Malkovich and creepy Steve Buscemi is this Trisha Yearwood song, first played when Nicolas Cage’s Cameron Poe returns from the Army before his fateful bar fight and then at the end when he finally reunites with his wife and daughter after destroying half of Las Vegas. The official music video for the song actually features clips from the movie, but curiously only the ones the involved Poe’s wife and not John Malkovich threatening stuffed bunnies or murdering people. Check it out below.
