Marc Webb Reveals (ish) Spidey’s New Look for The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Marc Webb has yet again teased fans with some goodies from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This time, the tease is a little more revealing though. Courtesy of Coming Soon, check out the first look at Spidey’s eyes from his redesigned suit:

Giant white eyes?

Like in the comics!?

Surely you jest.

What has me most excited about this reveal is that it hints at Spidey’s evolution as a superhero, sort of like we saw for Batman in The Dark Knight. While it probably won’t factor majorly into the story (see: Batman Forever), it’s probably going to be one of those nuances that really adds to the film and gives the character more substance — you know, recognizing room for improvement, flaws in design, upgrading the tech and all of that good stuff.

Just so you don’t get too far ahead of yourselves, superhero movie conspiracy theorists, no, this is not the black suit. It’s just the eyes. But hey, we’ll take it.
