“Legends of the Knight” Documentary Needs Our Help!
I love a good documentary. More than a good documentary, I love an interesting documentary about something I care about.
It should come as no surprise that I am super jazzed about the latest superhero documentary to pop up on Kickstarter, “Legends of the Knight”.
A documentary by Brett Culp, an award-winning digitial filmmaker and life-long Batman fan, Legends of the Knight isn’t about what you’d expect. At least not initially. Instead of focusing on the history or evolution through the years of the popculture icon that we all know and (most of us) love, Legends of the Knight instead examines the lives of individual Batman fans who have been profoundly touched by the character, traits, and fundamental idea of the character.
Really, the best way to convey the idea the film is to just show you the official trailer:
Legends of the Knight doesn’t just focus upon extraordinary fans of The World’s Greatest Detective — it calls upon the expertise and insight of some of the most recognized and respected creative minds to ever leave their mark upon the character, such as Denny O’Neil (responsible for some of the greatest Batman stories ever), Michael Uslan (the reason that modern Batman movies exist and a diehard Batman fan if there ever was one), and even Rabbi Cary Friedman, author of Wisdom from the Batcave.
Does this look like a documentary you’d want to see? If so, take a look at the Kickstarter page for the project to see how you can help make this film a reality. Heck, you might even get your name in the credits if you’ve got some money to spare.
Legends of the Knight has roughly $5k left to reach its goal, with just under 30 days remaining as of this writing.
