Musical Montage: Captain EO
When you have the combined powers of Michael Jackson, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola and Disney, you get the 18 minute epic that is Captain EO, a 3D spectacular you can see at Disneyland and Epcot (or more conveniently, below). The movie finds Jackson as the eponymous Captain EO, captain of a spaceship sent on a mission to deliver a “gift” to the Supreme Leader of a planet twisted, rotting metal. The Supreme Leader is not interested and sentences EO and his crew to 100 years of torture but EO manages to unleash the power of pop and busts out “We Are Here to Change the World” and manages to start transforming the palace and guards into their true selves.
