The Purge Trailer

In the not too distant future, the US is in a state of economic revival as unemployment is at 1% and crime is at an all time low.  The catch is that, in order to achieve this stability, a yearly event called “the purge” is created where every crime is legal for 12 hours.  Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey star as a wealthy couple who chose to opt out of any criminal activity and ride out the purge in their fortified home.  However, their daughter allows a man being chased entry into their home and the family is now the target of a gang of young hoodlums.  It’s an interesting concept but it looks like it only be used to initiate a solid looking but normal home invasion thriller.  The movie is out in May and you can check out the trailer below.
