Riddick Trailer

After the over stuffed disaster that was Chronicles of Riddick, Vin Diesel and director David Twohy are taking things back to basics with the upcoming sequel, Riddick.  There looks to be no more weird mythology, magic, prophecies, elemental spirits, etc and instead just strand Riddick on a desolate planet being hunted by bounty hunters.  Eventually Riddick and the bounty hunters have to team up to fend off the various, vicious animal life on the planet, much like Pitch Black.  After scrounging up the money, Diesel and Twohy have said they got to make the exact movie they wanted to.  This could be this year’s Dredd in that it could be a fantastic, hard R rated action movie but it also probably won’t be a big blockbuster.  This definitely looks very Pitch Black, which was awesome, but I hope there’s enough to differentiate this new movie.  Check out the trailer below and the movie is out in September.
