American Hustle Trailer

David O. Russell has collected pretty much everyone from his last two movies to appear in his latest movie, American Hustle.  Based on the real life events of the FBI’s Abscam sting operation of the 1970’s that targeted corrupt public officials, Christian Bale stars as Irving Rosenfeld, a con artist who is forced into helping FBI agent Richie DiMaso with the FBI’s plan to create a fake Arab sheik, who would offer the targets cash in exchange for various political favors.  Amy Adams co-stars as Rosenfeld’s mistress and con artist partner, Sydney Prosser and Jennifer Lawrence plays Rosenfeld’s unstable wife, Rosalyn.  The main target of the con for the movie is New Jersey mayor, Carmine Polito, played by Jeremy Renner.  The only person missing is Mark Wahlberg but that is a crazy cast and this is sure to be another Oscar juggernaut for O. Russell.  Check out the trailer below and the movie is out on Christmas Day.
