GI Joe: Retaliation is a huge step up from the original Joe movie but it still has a ways to go to being a great action franchise

The full Phase One set of the Marvel Universe is finally out this week along with much more in the New Release Round Up.

We’re gearing up for Summer Blockbuster Season and this month has a couple of big movies including the new Evil Dead, Oblivion and Pain and Gain.

After dominating the music charts in the early 90’s, Vanilla Ice tried his hand at movies and the result was the hilariously bad, completely insane cult classic, Cool as Ice. Since it starred the Iceman, there were plenty of rap performances in the movie and you can check them all out in this week’s Musical Montage.

Supposed to be released last Summer, GI Joe: Retaliation gambled on a 3D conversion and an early spring release and it seems to have paid off with a number one debut almost on par with the original GI Joe movie.

Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington must team up to figure out who blew their respective undercover operations in the upcoming action/comedy, 2 Guns.

Critics hated both movies this week, which is understandable with the latest Stephanie Meyer abomination out, but we’re still excited to check out GI Joe: Retaliation.
