Video Games: The Movie Trailer

If you’ve been reading the site, you know we’re big fans of pop culture documentaries and this latest one seems like it’s right up our alley.  Produced by Zach Braff and narrated by Sean Astin, Video Games: The Movie details the development of video games from the very first game ever to the latest and greatest blockbuster, triple A games.  Video game industry vets like Nolan Bushnell and Cliff Bleszinski join nerdy celebs like Wil Wheaton, Chris Hardwick and Alison Haislip to talk about the evolution of the games industry and where it might be going.  There have been video game documentaries before, like King of Kong and Indie Game: The Movie, but this one is definitely the most all encompassing.  It’s out in limited theaters on July 15th but also VOD, iTunes and at the official website on the same day.  Check out the trailer below.
