Amityville: The Awakening Trailer

The horror factory behind Insidious and Paranormal Activity are putting a new spin on a classic with Amityville: The Awakening.  A new family, which consists of single mom, Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and her kids Belle (Bella Thorne), Juliet (McKenna Grace)  and comatose James (Cameron Monaghan), moves into the cursed home, as it’s close to medical facilities for James.  The horrific nature of the house seems to start affecting James and Belle, with James seemingly waking up from his condition and Belle hearing voices and seeing horrific visions.  Kurtwood Smith shows up as what looks like the usual expert in supernatural events.  The movie will kick off 2015, hitting theaters on January 2nd, which seems like a tradition as of late of the first movie of the year being a horror movie (all of them usually terrible as well).  Check out the trailer below.
