Terminator: Genisys Trailer

After some absolutely horrendous promo photos, the actual first trailer for Terminator: Genisys is thankfully much better.  Both a reboot and a sequel, the movie seems to follow the events of the first film, with John Connor (Jason Clarke) sending Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back in time from the apocalyptic future of 2029 (which is thankfully back to it’s look from 1 and 2 and not the more realistic version from Salvation) but Reese finds things are not what he’s expecting back in the 80’s;  Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) is already ready for action, there’s an Asian T-1000 running around and an older T-800 has already taken out the one sent back to kill Sarah.  It feels like it’s the JJ Abrams Star Trek alternate timeline with a mashup of the Terminator 1 and 2 plots.  Alan Taylor, director of Thor: The Dark World, is directing and it’s out on July 1st next summer.  Check out the trailer below.
