Musical Montage: J. Geils Band “Fright Night”
After dropping hit albums like Love Stinks and Freeze Frame that had hit songs like Love Stinks, Freeze Frame and Centerfold, the J. Geils Band hit some rough patches, including lead singer Peter Wolf leaving the band, and they broke up shortly after delivering one final song, the theme song to the original 80’s vampire movie, Fright Night. The cheese is thick in both the song and the music video and it definitely lacks the hooks and fun of the band’s earlier songs. The remake from 2011 didn’t even bother with an update version of the song and after listening to it below, you can probably tell why.
