Musical Montage: Weird Al “This is the Life”
In case you weren’t sure what the tone of the classic Michael Keaton comedy Johnny Dangerously was, you knew within a few seconds of it starting when Weird Al’s “This is the Life” started playing over the opening credits. The movie follows Keaton as Johnny Dangerously, an up and coming gangster in the 20’s who has to deal with rival gangsters, his mother’s increasingly expensive medical conditions and more. It’s a fantastic spoof in the vein of Airplane or a Mel Brooks movie. The music video features Al as the boss of a 20’s nightclub showing off his elaborate and fantastic lifestyle with some clips from the movie and you can check it out below.
