When their plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, a group of oil workers must rely on John Ottway and his survival skills to try and survive against nature and the vicious wolves tracking them.

Using a police robot bound for destruction, an engineer (Dev Patel) tests out his experimental AI on it and creates Chappie (Sharlto Copley), a fully sentient robot, but both fall into the hands of the gangster Ninja, who wants Chappie as a weapon to pull of a massive heist.
