Shawn Ryan Unleashes the Mad Dogs on Amazon Prime (Trailer)

Amazon’s next big show is debuting this weekend after surviving their “pilot season” a year ago, Mad Dogs.  A remake of a British series, Mad Dogs comes from Shawn Ryan, creator of The Shield, Last Resort and Terriers, and stars Romany Malco, Ben Chaplin, Steve Zahn and Michael Imperioli as four friends who go on vacation to Belize to visit their highly successful friend Milo (Billy Zane).  Things are initially great but there are hints something shady is happening that explodes by the end of the first episode.  I just realized watching the below Season 1 trailer that this is basically the same setup as both Far Cry 3 and 4, where a seemingly normal person is thrown into a crazy situation in a foreign country and interacts with all sorts of local characters and that’s exactly what the main quartet of Mad Dogs gets into.  All episodes start streaming on this Friday, January 22nd and you can check out the trailer below (you can also watch the first episode right now on Prime Video).
