Bryan Cranston Breaks Good in The Infiltrator (Trailer)
Bryan Cranston became a drug kingpin on Breaking Bad but he’s trying to take down the biggest real life kingpin, Pablo Escobar, in this summer’s “based on a true story” thriller, The Infiltrator. Cranston plays veteran Robert Mazur, who goes deep undercover as a money launderer to try and befriend and gain the trust of one of Escobar’s top lieutenants, Roberto Alcaino (Benjamin Bratt) in 1986 Florida. John Leguizamo and Diane Kruger play Cranston’s back up agents, with Kruger’s rookie agent playing Cranston’s fiance. Amy Ryan also co-stars as the head of the FBI’s Florida office. It looks like a solid crime thriller and Cranston is never not great, so it’s probably worth watching just for him alone. Brad Furman, who directed The Lincoln Lawyer, is directing this one and it’s out on July 15th this summer, check out the trailer below.
