The Mind’s Eye is Retro 80’s Horror (Trailer)
Making a splash at both Fantastic Fest and TIFF, The Mind’s Eye looks like a crazy throwback to 80’s horror like we got from directors like John Carpenter, Brian De Palma or David Cronenberg. Two people are on the run after escaping from the clinic of a crazed doctor (John Speredakos) who wants to steal their psychokinetic powers and inject them into himself. The pair, Zack (Graham Skipper) and Rachel (Lauren Ashley Carter), fight off the goons sent to get them and there’s lots of gore as their powers rip and smash them apart. It’s directed by Joe Begos, who previously directed the also retro throwback horror movie Almost Human and he won Best Horror Director at Fantastic Fest. It’s out in August in theaters and most likely VOD and you can check out the trailer below.
