Our Dream of Jon Hamm Archer gets Closer with Keeping Up With the Joneses (Trailer)

Archer producers Matt Thompson and Casey Willis sent the internet into a tizzy a few weeks ago when they said Jon Hamm was their number one choice if they ever did a live action Archer movie and, while that is a distant dream right now, we are one step closer to that reality as Hamm is starring as an undercover spy in the upcoming comedy, Keeping Up With the Joneses.  Hamm and his wife, played by Gal Gadot, are the Joneses, who movie into an ordinary suburban neighborhood and impress their neighbors Jeff (Zach Galifianakis) and Karen (Isla Fisher) with their glamorous lifestyle.  Karen gets suspicious and uncovers that the Joneses are actually spies and she and Jeff are thrust into the middle of their current operation.  It looks pretty fun and it will be interesting to see Hamm do action and Gadot do comedy, as they’ve both excelled at the opposite and Galifianakis and Fisher seem like a solid movie couple in over their heads. The movie is directed by Greg Mottola, who previously directed Superbad and Paul.  It’s out in October and you can check out the trailer below.
