Thrawn is Back in Star Wars Rebels Season 3 (Trailer)
After ending things on the biggest and darkest episode yet in Season 2, Star Wars Rebels is getting even bigger and darker for Season 3 as Ezra struggles between the Light and Dark Sides of the force with Kanan and Maul as the angel and demon on his shoulders. The biggest news about the upcoming season though is that Grand Admiral Thrawn is back and officially part of the new canon and is the latest Imperial tasked with taking down the fledging rebellion. Thrawn will be voiced by Lars Mikkelsen, who is the brother of Mads Mikkelsen and plays Russian President Petrov on House of Cards, and there is a new novel called Thrawn being written by the man who created him, Timothy Zahn, that will probably be Thrawn’s official new backstory in the updated canon. The Ghost crew will also run into Imperial loyal Mandalorians and a young Wedge Antilles, who is training at a TIE Fighter pilot academy but he and some of his fellow cadets are looking to defect. The new season starts in the fall on Disney XD and you can check out the trailer below.
