Amy Adams Deciphers an Alien Language in The Arrival (Trailer)

Denis Villeneuve, who brought us the excellent Sicario last year, is moving over to sci-fi with The Arrival.  Amy Admas plays Louise Barnes, an expert on translation, who is brought in to try and decipher and communicate with an alien species that has arrived in dozens of massive, egg shaped ships around the world.  Along with Forest Whitaker and Jeremy Renner, she has to figure out what the intentions of the aliens are and possibly avert a full scale intergalactic war.  Even though most of the action is Adams trying to communicate and deciphering alien symbols, it still looks intense as hell and it will probably give us the first idea of what we can expect from Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2 in the future.  The Arrival is out on November 11th and you can check out the trailer below.
