Pirate Ghosts Haunt Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (Trailer)

Airing during the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead, the first teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been released.  Although he’s back for the fifth time, Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow is nowhere to be found in this teaser and it instead focuses on a British ship being ambushed by a crew of ghost pirates led by Captain Salazar, played by Javier Bardem, who, like pretty much everyone in this universe, has a score to settle with Captain Jack.  Brenton Thwaites appears to be some sort of prisoner on board the ship who is given a message from Salazar to give to Jack.  It looks like typical Pirates of Caribbean stuff, although that franchise took a pretty big nosedive with On Stranger Tides but this one might be a return to form as both Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush are back to join Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem is always entertaining, although On Stranger Tides did somehow waste Ian McShane as Blackbeard.  Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning, the team who directed Kon-Tiki, are directing Dead Men Tell No Tales and it’s out on May 26th next year.  Check out the trailer below.
