89th Academy Award Nominations Announced
The 2017 Oscar nominations are here and, as expected, La La Land is the main frontrunner with 14 nominations while other contenders Manchester by the Sea got six and Arrival and Moonlight both got eight. Some surprises including Amy Adams getting snubbed out of Best Actress with what seems like the mandatory Meryl Streep nomination for the barely seen or talked about Florence Foster Jenkins and Hacksaw Ridge and Hell or High Water emerging as contenders with multiple nominations, including both being up for Best Picture. Sadly, Deadpool, despite the potential heat from the various guilds, was completely shut out, although Suicide Squad is now an Oscar Nominee thanks to a nod for Hair and Makeup. Check out the full list below and the awards will be presented on February 26th on ABC
