Night Shymalan started to pull himself partly out of the hole he dug himself into in the mid-2000’s in 2015 with The Visit and he pulls himself completely out this year with the fantastic thriller Split, where James McAvoy plays a man with 23 personalities who has kidnapped three girls to awaken a powerful 24th personality nicknamed “The Beast”.
