We Finally Meet Ego in the Latest Guardians Vol. 2 Trailer

The new full trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is here and it extends off the Super Bowl spot, keeping it’s awesome use of one of the greatest songs of all time, Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain”, and finally gives us our first look at Kurt Russell as Ego the Living Planet.  The plot is coming together a little bit more as well as a group of perfect genetic celestial beings led by Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), who are looking to “cleanse” the universe of weaknesses like fear and jealousy and it’s up the Guardians, with new recruits Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Yondu (Michael Rooker) to stop them.  Of course, Baby Groot is all over this trailer as well but he still seems adorable and hilarious, especially the quick bit where he’s just hanging out and waving to Gamora during the team’s battle with a giant alien squid monster.  The movie is out on May 5 to kick off Summer 2017 and you can check out the new trailer below.
