American Assassin Trailer

Based on the first book of the late Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp series, American Assassin stars The Maze Runner’s Dylan O’Brien as Rapp, a counter-terrorist agent looking for vengeance after his girlfriend is killed in a seemingly random terrorist attack.  He’s sent to train with Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton) and he joins Hurley and CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to track down a rogue agent, played by Taylor Kitsch, who’s trying to start World War III.  It looks kind of generic and it would seem like something that would be sent directly to Redbox if not for the presence of Keaton.  It’s directed by Michael Cuesta, who previously directed Kill the Messenger and multiple episodes of Dexter and Homeland.  It’s out on September 15th and you can check out the trailer below.
