Lightning Has One Last Shot at Glory in Cars 3 (Trailer)
Good news, Lightning McQueen doesn’t die after that horrific crash that was featured in the first teaser trailer for Cars 3 but he does have one last shot at glory before he’s washed up and replaced by the new, faster breed of racing cars, led by Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer). Lightning returns to Radiator Springs to get help and advice from his old buddies, including Mater (Larry the Cable Guy), who makes his trailer debut in this new trailer, and he also gets a new trainer in the enthusiastic Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) and there will also be flashbacks to the advice Lightning got from the late Doc Hudson (which will use unused voice clips from Cars by Paul Newman). The racing has a very grounded, gritty look that is completely different from either previous Cars movies but there looks to be a bunch of goofy humor as well, including what seems like a reference to Rocky 3. The movie is out on June 16th and you can check out the new trailer below.
