Netflix Dives Into the World of Serial Killers for Mindhunter (Trailer)
David Fincher has been teaming with Netflix as Executive Producer on House of Cards and his next show for the streaming giant is arguably the genre he’s best at, crime thrillers. Mindhunter is based on the book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit and it’s authors, Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas are the basis for the shows main characters, Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), who in 1979 are at the forefront of the new technique of serial killer profiling and interview captured killers to gain insight to catch those still at large. Anna Torv, Hannah Gross and Cotter Smith co-star and the show definitely has that distinctive Fincher look and feel and should hopefully call to mind Fincher’s crime classic like Se7en and Zodiac (at least the first two episodes should because Fincher directed them). The series starts streaming on October 13th on Netflix and you can check out the trailer below.
