Dominic Coooper is Kind of an Irish Bourne in Stratton (Trailer)

Currently the anti-heroic preacher Jesse Custer on AMC’s Preacher, Dominic Cooper is going full on action hero as an Irish special forces commando in Stratton (which was potentially going to star Henry Cavill).  Based on a series of books by Duncan Falconer and directed by Expendables 2/Con Air/The Mechanic director Simon West, Cooper is John Stratton, a special ops commando with the UK’s SBS department who is tasked with tracking down a terrorist leader (Thomas Kretschmann) who is looking to strike in London.  Tyler Hoechlin, Connie Nielsen, Tom Felton, Gemma Chan, Derek Jacobi and Austin Stowell co-star and the movie is hitting, at least UK theaters, on September 1st and it seems like a solid action/thriller but also not going to break the mold in any meaningful way.  Check out the trailer below.
