Inspector Poirot Returns in the New Murder on the Orient Express (Trailer)
Following up on the memetastic first trailer that grossly overestimated the modern day audience’s knowledge of Poirot, had maybe one of the most ridiculous mustaches in movie history and a gigantic miscalculation as far as the ending song stinger, a new trailer gives slightly more context and downplays the Imagine Dragonsness of it all (“Believer” is still the trailer’s soundtrack although much more toned down). Kenneth Branagh directs and stars as Agatha Christie’s famous detective, who is a passenger on the titular train when one of the wealthy passengers is murdered en route and Poirot has to use his deduction skills to find the killer before they possibly strike again. The suspects are a murder’s row of big names including Johnny Depp, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Willem Dafoe, Daisy Ridely, Michelle Pfeiffer, Leslie Odom Jr, Derek Jacobi and Penelope Cruz. Cinematography wise, it looks really good and besides the two iterations of Sherlock recently, there hasn’t been a really good whodunnit in the theaters. It’s out on November 10th and you can check out the new trailer below.
