A reboot of the Stephen King novel, and the 90s miniseries with the indelible performance of Tim Curry, the new IT is an excellent reboot that wisely updates and cuts certain things while keeping the heart and scares intact as The Losers’ Club takes on the horrifying entity that prays on their fears.

After weeks of historically bad box office earnings, the new IT had a massive opening that was actually the highest ever opening for a horror film and the 2nd highest ever opening for an R rated film.
