The MCU Goes Full CW With The Runaways (Trailer)

Based on the critically acclaimed and beloved Marvel comic series by Brian K. Vaughn, Hulu is getting into the Marvel game with Marvel’s Runaways.  Set in the MCU, the show follows a group of teens who discover that their parents are secretly a supervillain group called The Pride and they, as the title suggests, run away together and try to figure out how to use the powers they’ve inherited and if there’s anything they can do to stop their parents from unleashing whatever evil scheme they have on the world.  There’s not really a lot super powers or comic bookiness going on in this first teaser though as everything from the casting to the music choices makes this look like a full on CW show, but not even an Arrowverse show, more like Gossip Girl or Riverdale.  The comic has magic powers, crazy tech and even a dinosaur who’s psychically linked to one of the Runaways, so hopefully this is just a weird trailer and the entire show isn’t just pretty teen angst.  The show starts on Hulu on November 21st and you can check out the trailer below.
