Name: John Daniel Edward “Jack” Torrance

Origins: An aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic, Jack takes a job as the winter caretaker of the Overlook Hotel with his wife Wendy and son Danny. The isolation of the hotel and the supernatural forces within it cause Jack to go insane and attempt to murder his family.
Powers: Possibly some sort of heightened perception as he sees multiple ghosts of past caretakers and former hotel staff
Weapon(s) of Choice: Fire axe
