Kit Harrington Leads the Gunpowder Plot for HBO in December (Trailer)

If all you know about the Gunpowder Plot is V For Vendetta and Anonymous masks, HBO is diving into the whole story in December for the three part miniseries Gunpowder.  Starring Kit Harrington as Robert Catesby, who as a devout Catholic, plots against the Protestant king and eventually lead to Guy Fawkes (Tom Cullen) getting caught with 36 barrels of gunpowder under the House of Lords in 1605.  Peter Mullan co-stars as fellow conspirator Henry Garnet and Mark Gatiss plays the king’s spymaster, Robert Cecil, who gets word of the plot and works to uncover who is involved. Liv Tyler also co-stars as Anne Vaux, a close confidant to Henry Garnet.  Harrington is actually a direct descendent of Robert Catesby and has been working with showrunner Daniel West for three years to get the miniseries made.  It already aired in the UK on the BBC and it will start on HBO on December 18th at 10 PM EST on HBO, check out the trailer below.
