Battle at the Box Office 12/4

With no major new wide release, the Top 6 of the past weekend’s Top 10 stayed exactly where they were, while the real action happened in limited release.

Coco stayed on the top of the box office for a second weekend, making another $26 million, bringing it to over $108 million for it’s two weeks out.  Internationally, its made $171 million, bringing the grand total to over $279.9 million.

Justice League stayed in second with another $16.6 million and it currently has a worldwide total of $567 million but its still almost $75 million off from where Wonder Woman was at the same number of days out this past summer.

Wonder made another $12.5 million and has a total of $88 million.

Thor: Ragnorak and Daddy’s Home 2 rounded out the top 5.

Down in the bottom half of the list was where the real shakeups happened, as Three Billboards and Lady Bird moved into 8th and 7th place respectively as they added more theaters over the weekend.  Just outside the top 10, the limited opening weekend of The Disaster Artist in 19 theaters brought in $1.2 million and took 12th place.  Guillermo Del Toro’s The Shape of Water also opened in only 2 theaters but made $166,800, giving it the best per theater average of the weekend.  Titanic also came back to a select number of theaters for it’s 20th anniversary and made $415,000.
