Sandra Bullock Leads the Crew of Ocean’s 8 (Trailer)
It’s been ten years since Ocean’s 13 wrapped up the star studded trilogy of Steven Soderbergh heist movies but a new crew is assembling next summer for Ocean’s 8. Sandra Bullock plays Debbie Ocean, the recently paroled sister Danny Ocean (George Clooney), who has either really died or has faked his death (we’ll probably get the answer in the movie) and she assembles a crew to pull of a heist during the luxurious Met Gala, the target being a $150 million necklace. Cate Blanchett is in the Brad Pitt role as Debbie’s main partner Lou and the rest of the crew includes Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina and possibly Anne Hathaway (although this first trailer makes her seem like the mark and not part of the crew). There looks to be a ton of celebrity cameos and Matt Damon and Carl Reiner are supposed to have cameos as their Ocean’s characters as well. It’s directed by Gary Ross, who brought us the first The Hunger Games and the already forgotten Free State of Jones, and written by Ross and Olivia Milch. It’s out on June 8th next year and you can check out the trailer below.
