Musical Montage: John Carpenter “Christine”
On top of being one of the greatest horror/sci-fi directors ever, John Carpenter is also a prolific musician, pretty much scoring most of his own films (and sometimes creating theme songs for them), including 1983’s Christine. One of the best Stephen King adaptations, Carpenter composed a revamped version of the main theme from the movie for his album “John Carpenter’s Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998” that came out last year as his third studio album and he also directed a music video starring himself, actress Rita Volk and a 1958 Plymouth Fury.
