It’s Statham vs Shark in the First Trailer for The Meg

We’re always fully in for whatever Jason Statham is up to and his latest movie will hopefully be an insane and over the top creature feature, The Meg.  Based on the over the top book by Steve Alten, Statham stars as Jonas Taylor, a deep sea rescue diver who is brought in to save the crew of a submersible trapped on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.  The only thing is that what disabled the submersible is a prehistoric Megalodon, a 75 foot shark that can destroy anything in it’s path.  Li Bingbing, Winston Chao, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose and Cliff Curtis co-star and it’s directed by Jon Turteltaub, who brought us the National Treasure movies.  Honestly, you say “Statham vs giant prehistoric shark” and we are there day 1.  It’s out on August 10th and you can check out the trailer below.
