The Conjuring Universe Expands with The Nun (Trailer)

Heading back in time in the history of The Conjuring cinematic universe, The Nun is the latest chapter in the horror franchise and the first movie chronologically setting up one of it’s most terrifying demons.  After appearing in The Conjuring 2 and Annabelle: Creation, The Nun aka the demon Valak faces off against a novice nun and a priest sent by The Vatican to investigate the apparent suicide of a nun in Romania.  Taissa Farmiga (sister of Lorraine Warren herself, Vera Farmiga) and Demian Bichir are the nun and priest respectively and Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu, Jonny Coyne and Jonas Bloquet co-star.  Corin Hardy, who was signed on to direct the recently killed Crow reboot as well as The Hallow, is directing and the movie arrives on September 7th this year.  It looks like typical Conjuring stuff with creepy dark hallways and jump scares from demons, check out the trailer below.
