The Purge Comes to USA (Trailer)

If you’re a fan of The Purge series, you’re getting a double does of mayhem this year as The First Purge arrives on July 4th and a TV series is debuting in September on USA.  The Purge is a 10 episode season that will follow various characters celebrating or trying to survive the annual Purge.  Gabriel Chavarria stars as Miguel, a Marine who returns home after recieving a cryptic message from his sister Penelope (Jessica Garza) and Reed Diamond, Hannah Emily Anderson, Lili Simmons and William Baldwin co-star as well.  It’s not clear where exactly this fits in the timeline but it would have to be prior to Election Year and it seems like the events will play out in “normal” Purge fashion.  The Purge series has had one of the best 180s in recent memory, going from a horrible first movie to two awesome and schlocky sequels carried by Frank Grillo and hopefully this TV show will take it’s cues from those.  The series starts on September 4th on USA and you can check out the trailer below.
