The Ocean is at War in Aquaman (Trailer)

Jason Momoa was one of the best parts of last year’s Justice League movie, delivering a snarky, dude-bro version of Arthur Curry and he takes center stage this December in the insane looking Aquaman movie.  Directed by James Wan, Arthur is brought back to the undersea kingdom of Atlantis by Mera (Amber Heard) to stop his half-brother Orm aka Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson) from launching a war on the surface world that could lead to the destruction of both.  Dolph Lundgren(!), Nicole Kidman, Randall Park, Willem Dafoe, Temuera Morrison, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Graham McTavish co-star and it looks like the whole “Aquaman just talks to fish” joke is going to be forgotten as the world of Atlantis looks insane and there’s a whole slew of crazy creatures and sea monsters on both sides of the conflict.  Momoa seems great as always as well, bringing his usual swagger and hopefully this will be one of the better entries in the DCEU.  It’s out on December 21st and you can check out the first trailer from SDCC below.
