G.A.T.E has ask Tama to power the massive aircraft in exchange for protection, and Bloodshot is hesitant to stop her. Meanwhile, in Ohio; Ninjak, Major Palmer and X-O Manowar have cornered Tito, one of the recently pisot that Peter Stanchek unlocked. Tito’s powers has created a uncontrollable mutated growth that is destroying a small town. Ninjak, Major Palmer and X-O Manowar are ordered to restrain the situation, and if they necessary, eliminate it. While Major Palmer has no issue with following the direct orders, this does not sit well with Ninjak. But as the situation worsens and tensions flair up when The Harbinger Renegades appear, the groups are forced to battle.
Issue three of Harbinger Wars 2 shows the moral grey areas of this conflict and the tough decisions that some characters will have to make and live with. Characters that are typically fine with violence, have a deep struggle with their own conscience when it comes to dealing with the young people involved. Bloodshot and Ninjak are vastly different in personality and demeanor, but both come from traumatic backgrounds that they do not wish spread. As the battles between LiveWare’s forces and the joint team of G.A.T.E and Omen, the consequences of everyone’s involvement have begun to take it’s effect.
This issue has some awesome visuals for Bloodshot, with Livewire’s abilities on Bloodshot’s nano machines in his body, Bloodshot is able to craft his body into new and gruesome appearances. In the previous issue, Bloodshot was able to have functional wings and glide into the Loveboat undetected. While it’s a painful process, Livewire is able to overload Bloodshot’s body and together they make an deadly pair. It’s very neat to see Livewire use Bloodshot as a sort of avatar in these battles and is interesting to see what will happen when they must make a decisions as one agreed mind. Will a super soldier like Bloodshot play along with the vengeful Livewire, or will something make a rift between them? These questions and more suspenseful events will be addressed in the climax issue next month.
