Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff Search for Missing Kids in True Detective Season 3 (Trailer)
Finally returning after the bizarre disaster that was Season 2, True Detective is back on HBO in January. Starring Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff as this year’s True Detective partners, they are investigating the disappearance of some children in the Ozarks and the case haunts Ali for many years afterwards, as the season jumps between an elderly Wayne Hays (Ali) and the immediate investigation in the past. Carmen Ejogo, Ray Fisher and Scoot McNairy co-star and showrunner Nic Pizzolotto is back to write every episode, with episode 4 co-written with Deadwood’s David Milch. Jeremy Saulnier, of Green Room fame, will direct the first two episodes and then Pizzolotto and Game of Thrones director David Sackheim dividing up the remaining six episodes. The new season starts January 13th and you can check out the new trailer below.
